Charles E. Lavis Jr was born on June 29, 1965 in New Orleans. He has successfullly handled hundreds of insurance claims relating to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav.  He has trained in using Xactimate 24, the estimating software that most major insurance companies use. Charles is aware of the gamesmanship practices that hurricane adjusters use to reduce the amount of money paid out on hurricane insurance claims.  He employs practices to counteract these tactics. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1987. He graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1994 and has been practicing law in New Orleans and throughout Southern Louisiana for over a decade.
